The Women’s Resilience Centre
Community Sing Circle is proud to collaborate with the Women’s Resilience Centre, an organisation dedicated to supporting women recovering from domestic abuse and complex trauma.
Their work centres around rebuilding confidence, restoring autonomy and fostering long-term resilience.
Our alignment with these amazing human beings is grounded in shared values:
• Emotional safety
• Nervous system regulation
• Community connection
• Empowerment through supportive spaces
Through this collaboration, we aim to:
• Create awareness of the Centre’s vital work
• Offer accessible pathways into community participation
• Explore meaningful ways to contribute through event initiatives
Music, voice and connection can play a powerful role in healing and reclaiming confidence. We are honoured to stand alongside organisations doing this essential work.

Acts of Kindness Community Outreach (AOK)
Acts of Kindness Community Outreach (AOK) is a grassroots, community-powered initiative co-founded by Sarah Morris (Northern Beaches local), created during the COVID period to make sure people doing it tough weren’t left behind, whether that’s families under financial stress or people experiencing homelessness.
What makes AOK special is that it’s not “charity at a distance.” It’s hands-on, relationship-based support with meals, supplies, dignity and a consistent presence that shows up week after week.
What they actually do
AOK coordinates a beautiful chain of care:
• Rescuing surplus food (and redirecting it away from waste)
• Mobilising community home-cooks and volunteers
• Delivering hot meals + essential items to people who need it most
Where they serve
AOK has a strong presence supporting people experiencing homelessness in the inner city, including meal services referenced in Woolloomooloo and Wentworth Park (Glebe).
Why we’re supporting AOK
We chose AOK because their work reflects what Community Sing Circle stands for:
• community care in action
• local people helping local people
• dignity, connection and warmth, not just transactions
They also shine a light on something many people don’t realise: hardship can be hidden and it can affect anyone, including people who look “fine” on the outside.
Our Commitment
Community Sing Circle is proud to support AOK through donations from our events, helping them continue this essential work and expand their reach.
If you’d like to volunteer, donate, or learn more about AOK’s work, we encourage you to connect with them directly via their Instagram and Facebook.
